Who We Are

THE VISION

From my earliest memories, a dream captivated me. Each Sunday, I accompanied my parents to church, fixating on the seasoned drummers and band members. Yearning to join them, I longed for an opportunity, but in their eyes, I was merely the little cousin to the established musicians.

My daily routine involved practicing relentlessly, even without a drum set. Armed only with a pair of drumsticks gifted to me two Christmases prior, I transformed kitchen bowls and pots into my makeshift drum set. My mother, ever supportive, would remark, "Your gift will make room for you," tolerating the cacophony as long as it didn't disrupt her show times.

One unforgettable Christmas, at the age of six, I discovered a brand new pearl drum set under the tree with my name on. It was a gift from my Godparents. Overwhelmed with excitement, I could finally perform for my imaginary audience. The vision had taken root.

THE LEGACY

Upon entering college, my aspirations crystallized. Having pledged Omega Psi Pi Fraternity Inc., I envisioned a future in live entertainment management. Post-pledging, I meticulously planned and executed the inception of my musical platform, culminating in my first curated show at Paradise Lounge in Elizabeth, NJ, in the fall of 2011. The proximity to home made it an ideal starting point.

The initial shows proved successful, drawing support from friends and colleagues. Over the years, I organized numerous shows with evolving themes. In 2013, I expanded my horizons by curating my first college tour, a journey that persisted until 2017.

Since those early days, the showcase has evolved into a multifaceted entity, servicing concerts, tours, weddings, graduations, and various major celebrations and corporate events. Music Café now proudly operates in three states, and the rest, as they say, is history.
